Program Highlights

Curriculum lessons
Our curriculum “Apps for life” targets core issues that face the modern teenager. The lessons are informal and engaging; thought provoking and inspiring. Some topics include: The Inner Me, The 3 Mitzvot of a Jewish Woman, Transition to Teenhood, Priorities and Peers, Me and my Body, The Bully and Me, A Jewish Home, Why am I Here, Jewish Calendar Events and many more.
Shabbaton
The highlight of the Bat Mitzvah Club is the sleepover Shabbaton. The Bat Mitzvah girls and their families enjoy a delicious and inspiring Shabbat experience, which will create memories for a lifetime. A packed schedule is planned for the girls including games, meaningful discussions and fun activities.
Ceremony
The Bat Mitzvah Club culminates in a beautiful end of year ceremony and celebration. Family and friends are invited to Chabad Glen Eira to celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of the group, and enjoy a Kiddush and musical entertainment after the formal ceremony.
Shul Celebration (Optional)
To celebrate the individual Bat Mitzvah of each girl on her birthday, families are invited to a Shabbat service dedicated to her. The Bat Mitzvah girl can present a Dvar Torah at the conclusion of the Shul service. Private lessons are available by
the Bat Mitzvah teacher to assist in writing the Dvar Torah speech. Following the
services is a catered Kiddush sponsered by the family of the Bat Mitzvah girl.

Gems Bat Mitzvah Club seemed the perfect choice for our daughter. As she was already attending a Jewish Day School we wanted the classes to be held by someone with a passion, honesty and a willingness to share their knowledge but who also understood that young girls need to have fun, opportunity to ask questions, explore ideas and make new friends. Chana provided this. She welcomed the girls into her home not just her class. The Shabbaton, sleepover, excursions and final Presentation Day were all organised and held with calm and maturity ensuring fun for all involved. Get togethers held this year after their Bat Mitzvah are even more special as we see all the girls returning happily to catch up!"
