Hungarian strudel with sweet cheese filling (turosh retesh)

 INGREDIENTS 

  • 6-8 sheets of Fillo pastry

  • 3 tbs melted butter (for brushing) 

  • 250-300 g cottage cheese 

  • 1 tbs sour cream 

  • 2 tbs sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbs semolina/ matzo meal

  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar/ vanilla essence

  • The zest of 1 lemon 

  • 50 (rum) soaked raisins (optional)
